Children’s Factual Entertainment 6 x 30 Min : Food Programme
Wicked, awesome or sick, some of the words the next generation use to describe an object or experience which is ‘great’ . That’s exactly what Chris and Jenny create, good food with great taste for children. A brand new double act for TV, their groundbreaking approach to taste is wowing a new generation of kids.
Children form the nub of the growing statistics concerning government and NHS showing the younger generation is heading for a health crisis with the rapid rise in obesity and diabetes.
With food allergies on the increase the next generation lack both the skills and knowledge to ‘eat for life’.
There was a 700% rise in severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) reported by hospitals between 1990 and 2004. Their lives revolve round a fast food diet with TV ready meals and a culture of 30-second microwave cooking. No wonder there’s an escalating problem! But kids won’t take a daily interest in food unless it’s fun and tastes great. Chris and Jenny having been working together to develop an engaging approach that has relevance to kids. Providing the knowledge and support for them to make their own informed decisions about what they eat as they grow up. Most importantly making it a ‘hands on’ fun experience they’ll enjoy.
Dynamic and inspirational, Chris and Jenny they are joined by their cartoon helpers Jackson and Bella in getting factual information about food across.
This is interactive food education for the next generation, accessed via TV, mobile and web, including the use of an online game. If kids know why making just a few simple decisions would change their lives they won’t need persuading to change their eating habits for life. They can educate Mum and Dad on the way! Like they already have in recycling!
